Terms for using Track Mishnah and its text-reminder program.

Using Track Mishnah

Track Mishnah is an invitation-only service for coordinating shared Mishnah learning. Use it only for lawful project participation, keep private invitation and password-reset links confidential, and do not attempt to access another person’s account or data.

Accounts and availability

Participants are responsible for protecting their passwords and for the accuracy of the information they provide. The service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued, and uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

Track Mishnah Text Reminders

Invited participants may optionally enroll in recurring automated text messages about their learning assignments, progress, project deadlines, and project milestones. An administrator may also send a manual learning reminder.

  • Opt-in: enter a mobile number, enable Text reminders, and check the separate consent box. The box is not preselected.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies based on the participant’s reminder schedule, number of projects, project activity, and administrator-sent reminders.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply according to the participant’s mobile plan.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP to stop text messages. Participants can also disable them in My settings.
  • Help: reply HELP or visit Text Reminder Information. Participants may also contact the project administrator who sent their invitation.
  • Learning and hold updates: from a mobile number linked to an active account, reply DONE, LIST, SUMMARY, MINE, FULL, UNDO, CLAIM, or RELEASE and follow any numbered choices. LIST can show one assignment's Perakim details. SUMMARY returns shared project progress, MINE returns the sender's assigned progress, and FULL returns a complete project breakdown packed at whole-Seder boundaries. MINE and FULL may be sent directly after an automatic summary or as standalone commands; a numbered project choice appears when needed. CLAIM can request release of a displayed hold; after release, an eligible requester may reply CLAIM to choose that masechta, subject to a fresh availability check. RELEASE works only for the named holder or a project owner/administrator. Reply EXIT to leave the menu without changes. Track Mishnah asks for confirmation before each completion, self-assignment, release request, or hold release, records the action in History, and expires unfinished command state after 30 minutes. Ambiguous or unknown numbers cannot view or change assignments or holds.
  • Conversation records: inbound and outbound text messages, including STOP, START, HELP, automated texts, and provider-generated replies, are retained in a protected tracker-owner inbox. New inbound messages may also be included in one daily email summary to the tracker owner.

Consent to text messages is not a condition of participating in Track Mishnah. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, upload malicious content, send unsolicited invitations or reminders, or use participant information outside the shared learning project.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including the commitment not to share mobile information or text-message consent with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
